Purchase orders
What they do
A purchase order is an order to a supplier for the jobs' lines. It works out when stock will really arrive from the supplier's own words and your shipping routes, and every job on it follows.

Order from a supplier
Say who makes it
On a product, pick the supplier and their code for it.
Draft the orders
On a job, Draft its purchase orders groups the lines by supplier.
Send it
By email with a PDF attached, and on a link where they see English with the Chinese under every word. They confirm a ready-by day there.
Record news
Paste what a supplier said into Supplier news. Claude reads it against open orders and proposes facts; nothing is saved until you record each one.
Costs
Add landed costs (freight, customs, duty) and share them over the lines by value, volume, quantity or by hand. A job's margin shows to Owners only.
Questions
Can I book an install before the goods arrive?
No. The install day can't be set before the job's arrival plus your buffer, and it flags to rebook if stock slips.
