Import a page or a whole site

Moving from another website, or have the words and photos ready? The o/i team can import a single page, or a whole site in one go: its pages, images, branding, business details, forms and header menu.

Importing isn't something you can do from your admin yet. We do it for you, and a way to do it yourself is on its way.

2 minutesWorks on a phone

  1. Open Get help

On a computer it's in the sidebar; on a phone, tap More, then Get help.

  2. Choose A question

Under What's this about?, pick A question.

  3. Say what you'd like brought in

Write it how you'd say it: one page or the whole site, and where the words and photos are now, such as your current website's address or a document.

  4. Tap Send it

Your name, your site and the screen you were on go with your message, so there's no need to explain where you are.

  5. Look over what we've built

Imported pages appear under Content, then Pages, usually as drafts, and their photos in Images. Every page is made of ordinary sections, so you can change anything.

  6. Publish when you're happy

Open each page and tap Publish, or tick several on the Pages list and tap Publish.

Good to know

  • A page already at the same address is only replaced if you ask for that.
  • Activity shows each page as it was made, so you can see what changed.
