Help/Pages/Add, move and remove sections
Add, move and remove sections
Every page is made of sections, stacked from top to bottom. You can add, fill in, reorder and remove them at any time.

Open the page
Open Content, then Pages (on a phone, More, then Content) and tap the page.
Tap + Add section
Add a section lists every kind, in groups: Words, Images, People and proof, Contact and forms, and Layout. Pick one and it's added at the bottom of the page, open and ready.
Fill in its boxes
Each section saves a moment after you stop typing. Saved shows under it; if a save didn't go through, tap Retry. Tap a section's name to fold it up or open it again.
Drag it into place
Drag a section by its handle at its left edge; the sections fold while you drag. With a keyboard, focus the handle, press Space, use the arrow keys, then press Space again.
Or move it one step
Tap the three dots on a section for its menu, then Move up or Move down.
Change its background and spacing
Open Background and spacing at the bottom of a section. Choose None, Tint, Accent, Image or Dark, and Compact, Normal or Roomy for the room above and below.
Remove it
Tap the three dots, then Remove section. It goes straight away, and from your live site too if the page is published.
Good to know
- Changes to a live page show on your site as they save.
- Removed a section by mistake? There's no undo button, so ask us through Get help and we can bring it back.
- Activity, under More on a phone, shows who edited each page and when.
