Help/Pages/Publish, unpublish and preview

Publish, unpublish and preview

Every page is a Draft, Live or Scheduled. Drafts are for your team only and stay out of Google. Live pages are on your site. Scheduled pages go live on their own at the time you set.

  1. Check the preview

On a computer, the Preview sits beside the page editor, shows the page as visitors will see it, and reloads after each save. On a phone there isn't room for it, so check drafts on a bigger screen.

  2. Tap Publish

It's at the top of the page editor. The page is Live straight away.

  3. Or schedule it

Open Publishing, below the sections, and choose Scheduled. Pick a date and time, in your own time zone, then tap Schedule it. That time is also the date shown on it.

  4. Unpublish when you need to

Tap Unpublish at the top, or choose Draft under Publishing. The page comes off your site and out of the menu.

  5. Do several at once

On Content, then Pages, tick the pages you want (or Tick all), then tap Publish or Set to draft.

Good to know

  • Changes to a live page show on your site as they save. There's no separate draft copy of a live page, so for big changes, consider making a new page and swapping it in.
  • Each card on Content, then Pages shows Live, Scheduled or Draft. A scheduled one says when it goes live.
  • Until your site is launched, visitors see a holding page even for live pages. You can see the real site from View site.
