Sell on Facebook and Instagram
Your products in Meta's catalogue, for a shop on your Facebook page and Instagram, and for product ads. Meta fetches them from your feed every day, with their prices, photos and stock. It's free with the Shop.
Your site needs to be live.

Open Settings, then Facebook & Instagram
On a phone, tap More, then Settings. Facebook & Instagram is under Selling.
Turn on Send my products to Facebook and Instagram
It saves as you flip it. Off, Meta can't fetch the feed.
Copy your feed's address
Under Your feed, tap Copy.
Add a catalogue in Commerce Manager
Open business.facebook.com/commerce and add a catalogue for E-commerce, connected to your Facebook page.
Add your feed
In the catalogue, go to Catalogue, then Data sources, then Add items, then Data feed. Choose to use a URL, paste your feed's address and set it to update every day. Pick your currency, then upload.
Add Instagram
To sell on Instagram too, connect your Instagram account to the catalogue in Commerce Manager.
Count sales with your pixel
Add your Meta pixel ID on Settings · Analytics. Product views, add to cart, checkout and purchases are then counted against the same products, so your ads and shop match up.
Good to know
- What goes to Meta lists how many products go, and which are left out: hidden ones, ones with no price to buy at, and ones without a photo.
- Each combination on offer, such as a size or colour, is its own item.
- The feed is in English for now, whatever languages your site is in.
- With Customer approval keeping the shop to approved customers, there's no feed.
- Meta checks your products and lists anything it flags under Issues in Commerce Manager.
- Want purchases counted even where ad blockers stop the pixel? An Owner can add the Conversions API. See Google Analytics and the Meta pixel.
