Help/Getting started/Get email on your domain
Get email on your domain
Addresses on your own domain, like hello@yourbusiness.com.au, hosted by o/i. Pay by the month or by the year, and it renews itself. The domain can be one you bought from us or one registered anywhere else.
Managers can see your email on Settings · Email but can't buy it. If you don't see Email in Settings, email isn't on sale for your site yet: ask us through Get help.

Open Settings, then Email
On a computer, choose Settings in the sidebar. On a phone, tap More, then Settings. Email is under Your site.
Type the domain
Under Get email, type what your addresses will end in: for hello@yourbusiness.com.au, that's yourbusiness.com.au. Names you already have with us are suggested.
Pick the currency and plan
Billed in sets the currency (AUD, USD, EUR or GBP). Then pick a Plan: each shows its price.
Choose how you pay
Where a plan offers both, How you pay is Every month or Every year. By the year, pick How long: 1, 2 or 3 years.
Tap Pay and set it up
You pay by card on the next page: by the month, the first month. Its invoice is in Invoices & receipts.
Wait for Active
Your email shows Setting up while the mail provider gets it ready, usually within the hour. Check now asks again. When it's ready, it shows Active and the Owners are emailed.
Make your mailboxes
Tap Manage mailboxes to add addresses and passwords. See Make mailboxes and add the mail records.
Good to know
- Monthly is billed by a repeating invoice each month, with the usual reminders. To stop it, ask us through Get help.
- Yearly renews itself: the renewal invoice comes 30 days before the end, and it's renewed 14 days before, so mail never stops.
- An order not paid within a day is let go, and its invoice is cancelled.
- Settings · Email lists each service with its plan, price and renewal day.
Questions
Can I keep the email I have now?
Yes. Email with us is optional. If you use Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, keep them: your domain keeps its mail records.
Does my domain have to be with o/i?
No. It can be registered anywhere. You add two mail records where its DNS is kept, shown in the mail panel.
Monthly or yearly?
Monthly spreads the cost; yearly is one payment and lets you pay up to 3 years ahead. Both are the same email.
