Help/Getting started/Launch your site

Launch your site

Until you launch, anyone visiting sees a holding page and search engines are asked to stay away. You, your team and anyone you send the preview link to see the real site. Launching makes it public.

Managers can open the screen and share the preview link.

  1. Publish your pages

Visitors only ever see pages that are Live. Start with the front page, the one at the address home. Open Content, then Pages, open the page and tap Publish.

  2. Choose a plan if you're on a trial

A new site starts with a 14-day free trial. You can build everything during it, but the site can't launch until a plan is chosen. Open Settings, then Plan, pick your currency and Monthly or Yearly, say where your business is, and tap Set up payment. You add your card on Stripe's own page.

  3. Look at the real site

Open Settings, then Domain (on a phone, More, then Settings). An Owner without an authenticator app is asked to set one up first. Under Going live, tap Open the real site. To show someone else first, tap Copy preview link and send it.

  4. Connect your own domain, if you like

It isn't needed to launch: your o/i address works either way. See Connect your domain.

  5. Tap Launch site

It's under Going live. The screen then says Live since and the date, and anyone can reach your site.

Questions

Launch site says to choose a plan first

Your site is on a free trial. Choose a plan in Settings, then Plan, and come back to launch. Your work stays exactly as it is.

Can I take the site down again?

Yes. Under Going live, tap Hide it again, then Hide it. Visitors get the holding page, search engines are asked to stay away, and every preview link sent so far stops working.

How long does the preview link last?

30 days. Anyone with it can see the site, so share it with care.

What happens when my trial ends?

Your work is all still there. The line at the top of the admin says the trial has ended, and Choose a plan takes you to Settings, then Plan.
