Help/Quotes & invoices/From accepted quote to paid invoice
From accepted quote to paid invoice
Once a customer accepts your quote, its invoice goes to them on its own. From there it's paid one of two ways: by card from their link, which marks it paid by itself, or by bank transfer or cash, which you mark paid. Either way they get a receipt with its PDF.
Invoicing is an add-on an Owner adds under Settings · Plan. Paying by card needs your Stripe connected on Settings · Payments, which only an Owner can do.

See the accepted quote
In Invoices, the quote shows Accepted. You're also emailed. Its invoice is in the list as Due (Overdue once its day passes), numbered like any other. The Owing view shows every invoice still to be paid.
If they pay by card
With Stripe connected, their link shows a button such as Pay $440.00 now. They pay on Stripe's page, into your Stripe account. Back on the link it shows Paid, the receipt is emailed, and the invoice turns Paid in Invoices. Nothing for you to do.
If they pay another way
Open the invoice. Under Paid by choose Bank transfer, Cash or Other, set the day in On, and add a Reference (yours only) if you like, such as the bank reference.
Tap Mark paid
The receipt is emailed to them with its PDF, and the screen says Paid. Download PDF and Download receipt sit under the invoice for your records.
Good to know
- A card payment counts only when Stripe confirms it, for the invoice's own amount and currency. If a payment arrives for an invoice that's already paid or cancelled, Activity says so, so you can refund it in Stripe.
- An invoice can't be changed once sent. If it's wrong, tap Cancel this invoice. It stays on record, marked cancelled, its link says so, and it can't be paid. Then send a new one.
- Reminders go by themselves until it's paid. See Reminders and making a new link.
Questions
Can I send an invoice without a quote first?
Yes. In Invoices, tap New invoice, fill it in the same way and tap Send invoice.
Who sees the money?
Card payments go to your own Stripe, and from there to your bank. o/i takes no cut.
