Schedule and repeat invoices

An invoice doesn't have to go the moment you finish it. Set it to go once on a day you pick, or again and again: every month, every 3 months or every year, for good or until a last day. Each one is numbered and sent on its day, with its PDF and the usual reminders. Quotes always go when you send them.

Invoicing is an add-on. If you can't see Invoices, an Owner can add it under Settings · Plan, in Add to your plan.

  1. Start an invoice

Open Invoices (on a phone, tap More, then Invoices) and tap New invoice. Fill in who it's for, the lines and when it's due.

  2. Choose When it goes

Now sends it when you press Send. On a day sends it once, on the day you pick. Again and again repeats it.

  3. Pick the days

For one day, set It goes on. To repeat, choose How often (Every month, Every 3 months or Every year), set First one goes, and if it should end, Last one by. Leave that blank to carry on until you stop it. Picking today sends the first one now.

  4. Tap Schedule invoice or Start repeating

The draft becomes a schedule. It's listed at the top of Invoices under Scheduled and repeating, with who it's for, the amount, how often and when the next one goes.

  5. Pause or restart

Tap Pause on a repeating one to hold it, and Restart to carry on. Days missed while it was paused are skipped, never sent late.

  6. Change or stop

Change stops it and opens its lines as a new draft. Edit it and choose When it goes again. Stop ends it for good. Finished ones fold away under Finished.

Good to know

  • Each invoice is numbered and priced on its own day, with tax as Settings · Invoicing has it then.
  • Days follow your site's clock (Settings · Time zone).
  • A monthly invoice that starts on the 31st goes on the last day of shorter months.
  • Each one sent is an ordinary invoice in the list, to be paid by card or marked paid as usual.
