Header and footer
Every page of your site sits between the same header and footer. The header has your logo (or your site's name), your Header menu and a search button, plus account and cart buttons on a computer when you use them. The footer has your Footer menu, any extra menus as columns, an optional newsletter form, your business name, and your social links.

Open Content, then Menus
On a computer, choose Content in the sidebar, then the Menus tab. On a phone, tap More, then Content, then Menus. Header and Footer are always here.
Edit the Header menu
Tap Header. Until you change it, it's the automatic menu: every live page, then Shop and Journal when they have something in them. Change anything and it's yours, and new pages wait for you to add them.
Add items
Tap Add item and choose what it links to: a page, a product category, a product, the journal, an article, the shop, or a web address (switch on Opens in a new tab if you like). Changes save by themselves.
Reorder and tuck items under others
Drag an item by its handle to move it. Drag it right, or switch on Sits under, to tuck it under the one above. One level is the limit. Open an item to change its Label or tap Remove item.
Add footer columns
Back on Menus, Footer is the first set of links in the footer. Tap Add menu, give it a Menu name like Help or Shop, then Create menu. Each extra menu becomes a column with its name as the heading.
Set the newsletter and social links
Go to Settings, then Footer. Pick the form to show in the footer, or None, add an optional Heading above it, fill in your social links, then tap Save footer.
Good to know
- Back to automatic, under Menu settings in the Header menu, returns it to every live page. What's there now is thrown away.
- Header and Footer can't be deleted. Empty them instead. An extra menu can go with Delete this menu.
- An item that points to something no longer live is flagged in the editor.
- The name in the footer comes from Settings, then Business profile. Track my order appears once you can take payments.
